Cue the slow morning vibes! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! Some highs and some lows. Some tears and a whole lot of laughter. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m just happy to be sitting on my couch this morning, with my family, soaking in all the goodness of my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t get me wrong, this year has put us through the ringer. So many hard things. But I’m choosing not to focus my energy there because it’s the quickest way to get me angry and closed off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I feel like God keeps asking me to soften, to open my hands, to stop trying to control everything. He is asking me to unload my burdens and rest. So here’s to giving that a try.
I’m in the final stretch of my drive back home and I’m only 1.5 hours away from getting to cuddle my boys, relax in my house and be near to my favorite people and places. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In my teens and early 20’s I just wanted to escape my city. I wanted to live in a big glamorous place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I don’t feel that way anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I love to travel, soak in new places, and love the buzz and creativity of an urban environment. But I have come to appreciate my city in a deep and profound way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Albuquerque has its own unique vibe, full of culture and possibility. I feel honored to get to see this place flourish and thrive in the hands of my friends and family who are planting deep roots and are committed to growth and health in our community. 🖤

Been on the road for a couple hours, and I am deep into Atomic Habits, a book about small changes leading to huge impact. Such a helpful read, I need to pause every couple of minutes to digest the wisdom! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Highly recommend this book, and I’m totally going to implement these tactics as soon as I get home!
